Presents data collected from annual water samples taken 4 April 1980 - 2 July 1985. Data collected includes: conductivity, TDS, hardness, ammonia, nitrate, nitrite, chloride, iron, phosphates, COD and pH. 'There are no major trends in water quality evident as a result of the most recent sampling. There seems to be a slight deterioration in quality of the stream that leads to the south end of Long Pond. Phosphorus, ammonia and nitrate-N concentrations seem to have been increasing very slightly over the last few sampling episodes and suggest some organic source of contamination in the area, but I don't know what that might be.' /STUDY LOCATIONS:/ /MOUNT DESERT ISLAND/Worcester Landfill/Southwest Harbor/Long Pond/Marshall Brook/
