This is a memorandum of information pertaining to a recommended reduction of beaver colonies in Acadia National Park. There is a background of the beaver population on the island and a description of the lack of population control and overpopulation issues that arose. A recommendation was made that there be a reduction program instituted. Attached to this document was a document, dated February 27, 1964, that gave locations descriptions and classifications to various locations in the Island for initiating a reduction program.
