FIELD WORK: July 11, 1968. BIRDS: Roughly 200 adult Common Eider were observed around the island. Six Eider nests and 4-5 young Eider were found on the island. Gulls were also present and nesting. MAMMALS: A total of 32 sheep were present on the island. FLORA - VASCULAR: Notes that a few spruce trees remain, a few raspberry bushes, and mostly grass and clovers /STUDY LOCATIONS:/ /ISLANDS/Heron Island
