Letter contains many attachments pertinent to the park: 1. A transcription of a portion of The 1883 Annual Report of the Superintendent of the U.S. Coast and Geodetic Survey. Includes xeroxes of 11 drawings: Brown's (Norumbega) Mountain summit; Robinsons Mountain summit; Echo Mountain, and Eagle Cliff. These 11 drawings were also scanned into TIF files and are enclosed on a CD. 2. Copy of a geodetic diagram of the Mount Desert Island area and a transcript of the original 1853 description of Coast Station Mount Desert 1856 (Cadillac Mountain summit). Also enclosed is a current copy of the description. 3. Print from a 110 Kodachrome slide taken in 1980 of temporary structure elevated above the survey mark. 4. xerox of picture of Alexander Dallas Bache, superintendent of the U.S. Coast Survey. 5. xerox of picture of Charles O.
