Study of phytoplankton and water quality

Interlandi SJ. 2001. To: National Park Superintendent. Re: Study of phytoplankton and water quality

A letter describing research planned on phytoplankton and water quality. This is a project proposal with a cover letter and a letter of support by Manski. No indication of funding? 'The goal of the proposed research will be to simultaneously test the effects of disturbance, productivity and number of limiting resources on the diversity of pelagic plant communities. While all three factors are likely to account for different proportions of the community diversity in different systems, it should be possible to discern the relative impact of each independent parameter on phytoplankton community structure using both empirical and experimental tests of these relationships.' Proposed phytoplankton counts and water quality measures within 5-10 lakes in ANP. /STUDY LOCATIONS:/ /ACADIA NATIONAL PARK/
