Historical range of variability assessment for forest vegetation of the Arapaho and Roosevelt National Forests Colorado [Draft]
Veblen TT and Brown PM. 2001. Historical range of variability assessment for forest vegetation of the Arapaho and Roosevelt National Forests Colorado [Draft]. Department of Geography, University of Colorado, Boulder, Colorado
The aim of this report is to assess current knowledge of the historical range of variability (HRV) of forested ecosystems in the Arapaho and Roosevelt National Forests (AR). Our focus is to understand how natural processes have determined the composition, structure, and function of forested ecosystems in the Rocky Mountains of northern central Colorado over the past several centuries, and how these processes and patterns may have been altered by humans during the 19th and 20th centuries.
