Mike Hunt called me this morning about the P&A requirements. He thinks the well logs will not turn up anything exciting. He's sure they'll be plugging. Anyway, I told him you had a write up from me on our requirements. Mike said the RCT will not require any plugs in the openhole section since the well did not encounter any hydrocarbon zones. So Bright plans to just set a plug across the casing shoe, then one at surface. That will also satisfy our requirement to protect fresh water zones and prevent escape of fluid to the surface. Mike indicated that they plan to set a cement retainer in the 9-5/8" just above the shoe, pump cement below it, and then leave some cement on top of it. This is similar to the first plug Comvest set on the State Tract 180 well. The cement retainer almost guarantees you'll get a good plug. Since they are setting a retainer, it will not be necessary to tag the plug. I told Mike Hunt that you'd fax him that write up. I also told him they would not need to tag the surface casing plug if they ran the retainer. So it sounds like you're two for two this year. Don't let anybody know where all the oil and gas is secretly hidden.
