Please find enclosed the bid specifications for the access road, drillsite and environmental mitigation. Would you please review the specifications and make any changes or additions that are needed. After the bid specifications are finalized, we will have 3 or 4 contractors bid on the work. The date for the contractors to meet at the location will be coordinated with you. Would you advise on the amount of money that will be required for the performance bond and the procedure for filing the bond. Also, would a "Letter of Credit" be acceptable for the performance bond in lieu of cash or U.S. Government Bonds?
