Enclosed is an Environmental site Assessment submitted by Chevron U.S.A. for the Chevron Field Shore Facility at Padre Island National Seashore. The assessment identifies hydrocarbon contamination of soils and shallow groundwater. A copy has also been provided to the Chief, Water Operations Branch, Water Resources Division. We are hoping to receive any comments that they may have regarding the adequacy of the site assessment and remediation options by February 11, 1994.
