Enclosed is an Environmental Site Assessment submitted by Chevron U.S.A. for the Chevron Field Shore Facility at Padre Island National Seashore. The assessment identifies hydrocarbon contamination of soils and shallow groundwater. A copy has also been provided to Dan Hamson, Chief, Environmental Response Planning and Assessment Unit. We are interested in having the benefit of your technical assistance regarding the adequacy of the site assessment and remediation options.
