Thank you for your comments on the TETRA proposal to remediate the former Chevron Shorebase Production Facility within the Padre Island National Seashore. I appreciate your taking the time to speak with me on the telephone to review those comments. Enclosed is an amended proposal that I discussed with you on the telephone that meets your expectations. Attached to the proposal are the Material Safety Data Sheets for the products that will be used. Additionally, after discussing the issue with you, I agree to your recommended goal of 70% cover over two successive growing seasons as the goal for successfully reestablishing native vegetation. As we discussed, I will contact you as soon as I know exactly when work will begin. I expect work will probably begin toward the end of this month or during the first part of May, weather permitting.
