Per our conversation on July 8, I have enclosed copies of the analytical work performed on the soil samples that were taken by Chevron in June. These samples show elevated levels of hydrocarbons. Chevron has contacted an environmental consultant to perform a site assessment of the area to determine the areal extent impacted by hydrocarbons. Soil borings of the area will be made and soil samples will be obtained and analyzed. Chevron plans to commence this work on or about July 19. We will be in contact with your office as soon as the time and date are fIrm. Thank you for your cooperation and please call if any questions come up.
