Charles Snell completed the Base Map for Saratoga National Historical Park in 1950, with the object of depicting the character of the battlefield park as it looked on both September 15 and October 8, 1777. The purpose of this report is to determine the degree to which the evidence that has become available since 1950 indicates the need for revisions to the Base Map.
