This report concerns the results of a historical analysis that was conducted on Tallgrass Prairie National Preserve. This report provides an overview of the history of Tallgrass Prairie National Preserve, from the pre-settlement era to the establishment of the area as a National Preserve. Each major time period is a seperate chapter. Each chapter examines the factors that shaped the land during that particular time period and how these effects were compounded as time progressed. Several photographs and maps are included in the report.
