Wright CJ and Thompson E. 2012. Salt marsh elevation and vegetation community monitoring: data management and technical documentation. National Park Service
Technical documentation for the SECN data management system components used to support salt marsh elevation and vegetation monitoring efforts. This SOP provides instructions for the development, maintenance and distribution of monitoring data associated with the protocol for Salt Marsh Elevation and Community monitoring in the Southeast Coast Inventory & Monitoring Network. All salt marsh elevation and vegetation community monitoring data will be stored in the Southeast Coast Network Data Management System and the database back end - dbInvMon. It is the responsibility of the Network Data Manager, Database Programmer, Coastal Ecologist, and associated field staff to be thoroughly familiar with the standards and procedures within the Network Data Management Plan and ensure this SOP is updated to reflect any substantial changes made to the DMP. All proposed changes to this SOP must be routed through the Data Manager for approval. QA/QC guidelines in this document are based on the general concepts described in the QA chapter of the Data Management Plan.
