A progress report to: California Department of Transportation; submitted to Gina Moran, District Biologist. This progress report covers four separate projects. (1) The first is the continuing work on the Chollas landfill revegetation project. (2) Second is the effects of leguminous nurse plants on Artemisia californica establishment, a project which is now complete. (3) The third is the effects of grass competition on shrub seedlings grown from seeds, and (4) the fourth is the effects of grass competition on Artemisia californica transplants.
