FLORA - VASCULAR: Maps vegetation types taken off color infrared aerial photographs including Spruce-Fir, White Pine, Hemlock, White Cedar, Black Spruce/Tamarack swamp, mixed conifer, Birch/Aspen, Northern Hardwoods, Red Oak, Alder scrub, mixed woods, salt marsh, fresh marsh, shrub bog, Sphagnum-sedge bog, floating vegetation, old fields, Pitch Pine, Red Maple, and Jack Pine. "The vegetation map was produced from color infrared aerial photography flown in August 1979 at a scale of 1:9000. The minimum mapping unit is about 1 acre.".
