This report is intended to document and assess the cultural landscape of the Wick Farm in the Jockey Hollow Unit of Morristown National Historical Park, Morristown, NJ. It has undergone a vast sequence of changes in its evolution from an 18th century farm to the public park it is today. This cultural landscape inventory will document, as best as possible, the farm's 18th century appearance, the changes the landscape has undergone since then, and existing conditions on the site. In the winter of 1779-1780, 10,000 Continental Army soldiers camped on the Wick Farm and 2 other farms in the area. Approximately 700 acres of Wick Farm were cleared. At present 76 trees comprise the vegetation of the farm. Since implemention of the 1976 Park Master Plan, no major changes have occurred and management has been basically preservation maintenance.
