New North American Records for Two Oriental Thrips (Thysanoptera) Species

Megalurothrips mucunae and Stephanothrips japonicus are reported for the first time from Georgia, USA. M. mucunae was detected during 2005 and 2006 in pine tree (Pinus sp.) branches, Vicia villosa, Raphanus raphanistrum, Phaseolus vulgaris, Lagerstroemia indica, Trifolium incarnatum, Vicia sativa, Trifolium repens, Andropogon sp., Valeriana pauciflora, Astragalus sp. and Trifolium pratense. S. japonicus was collected from Quercus nigra leaf litter, Stellaria media, Geranium carolinianum and Tsuga canadensis.
