This survey was made cooperatively by the Natural Resources Conservation Service and National Park Service and the Whidbey Island Conservation District. Major fieldwork for this soil survey was completed in 2005. Soil names and descriptions were approved in 2010. Unless otherwise indicated, statements in this publication refer to conditions in the survey area in 2010. This soil survey was developed in conjunction with the Inventory and Monitoring Program of the National Park Service. It serves as the official source document for the soils in Ebey’s Landing National Historical Reserve.
