An inventory of woody plants was conducted to ensure the preservation of plants of historical and/or botanical significance within the cultural landscape of the Sagamore Hill National Historic Site. The information gathered during the inventory is presented in this notebook in six sections. The first section describes the purpose of the project, the cooperating organizations, and the methodology for selecting, identifying and recording information about each plant in the inventory. The second section contains a reduction of the vegetation map prepared during the project. The third section contains the records for each plant examined. The fourth section contains photographs of plants if necessary for identification. The fifth section contains correspondence related to the project. The sixth section, the appendices, contains recommendations for further inventory work. It it hoped that this notebook will serve as a reference to find detailed information about individual plants on the site.
