The proposed research will examine the biophysical processess controlling water, energy and biogeochemical budgets in a small montane watershed. The overall approach is interdisciplinary, incorporating hydrology, geomorphology, pedology, geochemistry, botany and qauatic ecology. Five research topics are proposed.
