An assessment of erosion on the south bluff of Saint Croix Island. In the 1970's, Saint Croix employees noted lack of vegetation along the bluff, and cited loss of archaeological resources as a concern. Transects were set up to measure distances from the edge, and measurements were taken over the course of seventeen years. Temporary conclusions indicate that bluff retreat is insignificant, if present at all.
