This SOP provides instructions for the development, maintenance and distribution of monitoring data associated with the protocol for landbird monitoring in the Southeast Coast Network (SECN). All landbird monitoring data will be stored in the SECN Data Management System and the database back end – dbInvMon. It is the responsibility of the Network Data Manager, Database Programmer, Terrestrial Ecologist and terrestrial ecology staff to be thoroughly familiar with the standards and procedures within the Network Data Management Plan (DMP) and ensure that this Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) is updated to reflect any substantial changes made to the DMP. All proposed changes to this SOP must be routed through the Data Manager for approval. QA/QC guidelines in this document are based on the general concepts described in the QA chapter of the DMP.
