Aging of rainbow trout in the Southern Appalachian mountains was studied using otolith and annuli counts. Samples were taken in Great Smoky Mountains National Park and Shining Rock Wilderness Area. Fish from all age groups were marked in July and Ocotber 1997 and June 1998.
