Handbook on Legislation and Litigation Affecting the Quinault Reservation
Ullman B, Lane B, Smith H. 1977. Handbook on Legislation and Litigation Affecting the Quinault Reservation. Tahola, WA
The present handbook is intended for residents of Taholah and Queets and for others who have an interest in Quinault Indian history. This handbook highlights some of the laws and court cases affecting the Quinault community with personal reminiscences of people who helped make that legal history -- or by members of their immediate families. In 1976 the Quinault Indian Nation developed a Bicentennial Program with funds provided through the American Revolution Bicentennial Administration, Native American Programs. As part of its work, the Quinault Bicentennial Program developed an archives of documents, interviews and photographs of people and events relating to the history of the Quinault area. Much of the information and most of the photographs used in this book were contrbuted to the Bicentennail files by members of the Quinault community.
