New specimens of the titanosaurian sauropod Alamosaurus sanjuanensis were collected from the Black Peaks Formation of Big Bend National Park, West Texas. The pelvic elements show significant differences from published material, suggesting either sexual dimorphism or the presence of a new, undescribed species. A complete ischium is described, as well as the first sauropod osteoderm discovered in Big Bend National Park. Previously, no evidence existed to support the presence of osteoderms in Alamosaurus.
