This historic resource study provides an overview of the area encompassed by Canaveral National Park Service Seashore. This report is designed to provide a historic overview of the area encompassed by Canaveral National Seashore and to evaluate the Seashore’s extant historic structures within several historic contexts. It brings together historical and archeological information about events and persons that influenced the history of the Seashore area. This study also evaluates the integrity, authenticity, associative values, and significance of individual historic structures.
