This study is one of the several studies which have been and will be made regarding the Provincetown Landfill which contributes to a greater understanding of the issue of land use and environmental impact. It presents an investigation of Provincetown Landfill impacts on the groundwater and surface water environment. The extend of this study, as with all others, is limited by money and time. While the main focus of this study is the effect of the landfill and related septage disposal areas, associated investigations identify potential contamination from ocher sources. It is hoped that subsequent investigators will use the data presented to gain further insight, and as baseline information for future studies.
