Forder M. 2011. Richmond National Battlefield Park FFI Fire Effects Monitoring Data

Fire effects monitoring data collected at Richmond National Battlefield Park in Virginia. The data were collected during summer field seasons from 2003 to 2010 by the fire effects monitoring crew based in Shenandoah National Park. Data include Fire Monitoring Handbook (FMH) plots for grasslands (2005-2010) and forest (2003-2010). Data collected from 30 m grassland transects include species richness and point intercept data to obtain relative and percent cover. Data collected from 50 x 20 m forest plots include tree inventory to obtain density and basal area, fuel load using Brown's method for inventorying surface fuels and biomass, seedling density, species richness, and point intercept data. Photographs were taken at each plot to document change.
