To better define recharge distributions in the Sierra Vista Subwatershed of the Upper San Pedro Basin in southeastern Arizona (fig. 1), an investigation of ephemeral-stream channel flow was begun by the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS), in cooperation with the Bureau of Land Management. This investigation was to partly address water-resource concerns identified by the Upper San Pedro Partnership.
