Fort Scott National Historic Site FFI Fire Effects Monitoring Data

Leis S. 2012. Fort Scott National Historic Site FFI Fire Effects Monitoring Data

Fire effects monitoring data collected at Fort Scott National Historic Site Fort Scott, KS. The data were collected during spring, summer, and fall field seasons by the fire effects monitoring crew out of Wilson's Creek National Battlefield from 2011- 2012. The FOSC FFI database primarily contains fuels monitoring and fire severity data. Data are exclusively from grassland monitoring plots. The protocol was modified to use a plotless method to accomidate the small acreage of the park. The published protocol (Leis et. al. 2011) can be found on the HTLN websitehttp://science.nature.nps.gov/im/units/htln/library/Vegetation/PlantComm/PlantCom_2009_p.pdf.
