The following discussion of the Allies at Yorktown, 1781, embraces three programmed combined historic resource studies and structure reports: those for the British Outer Works, the First Allied Siege Line, and the Second Allied Siege Line. The Siege of Yorktown in many respects evolved entirely around these three important themes. Because of the interrelationships, these otherwise separate reports are combined into one study that allows the parts to give perspective and added dimension to the whole story of the siege. It was prepared this the hope that the material would be of value to park planners and park interpreters.
