The objectives of this report are to provide a general background involving a comprehensive summary and evaluation of data about the Edmund Smith House. The Edmund Smith House on Lot 53 in Yorktown was a part of the late colonial and 1781 Yorktown scene, having been standing since 1751. The Federal government acquired it as part of the Blow property in October 1968 and made it a part of Colonial National Historical Park. The objectives of this report are to provide a general background involving a comprehensive summary and evaluation of data about this residence, its uses and associations, particularly in the 18th century.
