Non-native salmonid fish were experimentally depleted from one stream at Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore from 2008 to 2011. The effects on native brook trout were evaluated and compared to a nearby control stream, where no fish were removed. Numerous analyses are reported, including the effectiveness of experimental removal, brook trout condition and growth; distribution of brook trout in the streams; habitats; and the number, condition, and timing of brook trout migrating out of the stream. Management recommendations are provided.
