Southeast Coast Network Sediment and Water Quality Assessment Database User Manual

Wright CJ. 2013. Southeast Coast Network Sediment and Water Quality Assessment Database User Manual

This manual provides documentation and instructions for using the MS Access Database developed for entering data collected under the Southeast Coast Network (SECN) Coastal Sediment and Water Quality vital signs monitoring protocol. This database consists of two primary components: data collection and data application. The data collection component is designed to allow the user to enter all of the information contained on the field data sheets (Station, Hydrographic Profile, Water Samples, Sediment samples and the field QC checks). The database also accommodates nutrient analysis results reported by third-party labs. Sediment sample lab results are not yet incorporated into the database but will be included in the next step in database development. This document provides a general overview of the functionality of the database, as well as instructions for database use. This manual will be updated as database development continues over time.
