Explains the steps to complete an observation of breeding birds in CRMO, includes methods, materials, and maps. The revised survey will make it possible for the park to conduct the surveys with only one skilled observer. Further goals of the program are to provide usable monitoring data to the park while maintaining compatibility of the data with regional, national , and international monitoring efforts for use in national and even international data sets. While at the same time meeting the standards set forth for land monitoring in the NPS (Fancy and Sauer 2000).
