This report documents the results of simulation models run using MC1, a dynamic global vegetation model, for Wind Cave National Park in the context of climate change. The model was used to simulate production of plant growth forms (C3 or C4 grass, deciduous broadleaf tree, evergreen needleaf tree, etc.), vegetation types (C3 grassland, evergreen needleaf woodland, etc.), fire frequency, and fire danger for three future climate scenarios (CSIRO = warm and wet; Hadley = hot; MIROC = hot and dry) and a variety of fire and grazing scenarios. Resource management implications are discussed.
