Questing deer ticks and deer ticks from raccoons, martens, mice, shrews, and eastern chipmnunks at Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore were collected. Five species were identified and a specimen of sixth is under examination for confirmation. Blood collected is being screened to test for antibodies of the spirochaete agent of Lyme disease.
