This plan describes the overall approaches that will be implemented over the next 15 to 20 years, or longer, to manage existing and anticipated oil and gas operations, including the exploration, development and transportation of nonfederal oil and gas underlying Padre Island National Seashore in a manner that provides for hydrocarbon development while protecting natural and cultural resources, human health and safety, and allowing for public use and enjoyment of those resources.
