Tennessee Valley Authority proposes to purchase 440 megawatts of electrical energy from the Red Hills Power Project. This energy would be provided from a proposed 440-MW lignite-fueled generation facility and a proposed surface lignite mine located near the Town of Ackerman in Choctaw County, Mississippi.
