On July 26 and 27, 2002, the SRM Idaho Section Summer Tour took place in south central Idaho, just south of the Pioneer Mountains and north of the Snake River Plain. The field tour took place close to 40 years after a similar tour was conducted in 1963 put on by the Soil Conservation Service.
