Presence of the "Threatened" Trimerotropis huroniana (Orthoptera: Acrididae) in relation to the occurrence of native dune plant species and the exotic Centaurea biebersteinii

The Michigan state threatened grasshopper Trimerotropis huroniana, found in dune habitats, was studied in relation to three plant species. One species is the non-native spotted knapweed. This grasshopper species' habitat may be enhanced by reducing spotted knapweed.
