Fire effects monitoring data collected at Everglades National Park in South Florida. The data were collected during 15 field seasons by the fire effects monitoring crew out of Everglades National Park. Data collected from shrub and/or grass transects are 30 meter point intercept data to obtain relative and percent cover. Shrub density data was also measured using brush belts along the same transect until 2005. Photographs are taken from each end of the transect to document change. Data collected from 50 x 20 m forest plots include tree inventory to obtain density and basal area and snag dynamics, seedling density, as well as all shrub transect methods for transects. Fuel load using Brown's method for inventorying surface fuels and biomass was collected until 2005. Photographs are taken from four points facing the center of the plot to document change.
