1945 Black and White 1:17000-scale

Aerial photography for Glacier National Park. A partial set of 1945 black and white aerial photos mostly covering the Middle Fork,North Fork and South Fork of the Flathead River drainages. We believe these photos were taken by the Department of the Defense, possibly for the potential placement of dams. From documents contained in the box holding the photos it appears that these are also available from National Archives. It also appears that this set was obtainedfrom MTFWP Kalispell Office per some correspondence found with the photos. Flathead River (North, Middle, and South Forks) in NW Montana, near Glacier NP.
