Ozette Project: Summary of Stratigraphic Work (June 1972-Aug. 1973)
Gleeson M. 1973. Ozette Project: Summary of Stratigraphic Work (June 1972-Aug. 1973). Ozette, WA
From the Introduction: "Since June 1972 detailed stratigraphic drawings have been done along each of the even numbered coordinates of the Ozette Site so that information is available along north-south and east-west profiles at two meter intervals. Variations in soil color and texture, pebble surfaces, and all objects one centimeter or greater occurring in the profile were mapped. Included with the drawings were soil descriptions keyed to the Munsell Color Chart and the Soil Survey Manual and a brief discussion of pertinent cultural or geologic factors." This report outlines the strategy for collecting stratigraphic data for the Ozette Village Site Archeological Project and provides analysis of work performed to date.
