Boucher K. 1990. Oil And Gas Well Plug and Abandonment Report For Jean Lafitte National Historic Park and Preserve

This report supplies the park with information as to the best methods and means to plug and abandon 10 wells in Jean Lafitte National Historic Park and Preserve. These wells were drilled between 1954 and 1966 and are currently a navigational hazard in the Barataria Unit of the park. The report also supplies a cost analysis of each operation, and what means or funds are available for completing these projects, including approaching the former operator or their successor. Included in the Appendix are copies of the original well files from the Department of Conservation, State of Louisiana, recommended plug and abandonment procedures, original bids for the plug and abandonment of each well, a list of operators, and an oil and gas well map of the Barataria Unit.
