This Standard Operating Procedure explains the process for data entry into the accompanying database and the data-management procedures of the Wintering and Migratory Shorebird Monitoring Protocol (Byrne et al. 2009). The SECN Shorebird Monitoring Database consists of a SQL Server 2005 database, InfoPath 2007 forms, a SharePoint site, and a help file, “Help.doc”. The InfoPath forms are stored on the SharePoint site and can be accessed by anyone with adequate permissions. The database can be used by multiple users at a time.
