A portion from the report: "A natural resource inventory was conducted at Saint Croix Island International Historic site during the period September 1995 - September 1997 to support the preparation of a general management plan for the historic property by the planning staff at Acadia National Park. The purpose of the plan is to present and to evaluate alternative approaches to site management and strategies for addressing identified site needs. The plan will also assess the socio-economic, natural, and cultural resource impacts of proposals for the site, the visitor experience, and the surrounding area. The potential acquisition or use of private properties within the park boundary will be explored in connection with the plan. Although planning and management of Saint Croix Island International Historic site have focused on its historical significance, information regarding the natural resources of the site will be incorporated into future management decisions." /STUDY LOCATIONS:/ /SAINT CROIX ISLAND/
