This letter contains information on the two eyries in the park. 'I know of two eyries, both of which are located within the bounds of Acadia National Park. One is on the steep east face of Champlain Mountain; the other is on Eagle Cliff, the precipitous east face of St. Sauveur Mountain. Both of these eyries were active during the mid and late 1930's, and, I think, during the 1940's.
